Acapulco, Mexico




Acapulco is a major sea port on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Its officially called Acapuclo de Juarez and is located on a semi-circular bay where many shipping and cruise lines dock. It is located 300 miles from Mexico City.
Acapulco is most well known for its beach resorts that attract Hollywood Stars, Acapulco has a huge night life and boasts many resorts, hotels, and restaurants.

Acapulco in Spanish means "At the broken reeds."

Acapulco was first settled by the ancient Olmec civilization in the 8th Century.

Acapulco was conquered by the Spanish by Hernan Cortez.

Tourism is the main industry and has many attractions such as nightclubs, and plazas.

Tourists and cliff dive, scuba dive, relax on the beach, and deep sea fish. Tourists can also visit the San Diego fort, the oldest fort in the area.

Acapulco is a popular college Spring Break destination as they get 100,000 students to visit just during Spring Break!

  3. Wonderful blog, chicos! I didn't know Aculpoco meant "at the broken reeds". Interesting! Also, I didn't know they had bullfighting in Mexico. Wow! I love your site! Great job!
